Call for applications

The IV International August Gottfried Ritter Organ Competition will take place from 18 to 24 May 2008 in Magdeburg, Germany, at the following venues:

• the Georg Philipp Telemann Concert Hall (former abbey church of the Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen, now the municipal art gallery),
• the catholic Cathedral of St. Sebastian and
• protestant Cathedral of St. Maurice and St. Catherine.

The competition coincides with the inauguration of the new Schuke organ in Magdeburg Cathedral (10am, Sunday 18 May 2008) and the ensuing festival. The events have been planned to allow those interested to participate in both of them.

Requirements

Organists of any nationality born after the 24th May 1974 are eligible to compete. Further regulations can be found under "Conditions".
