The competition will be organised in 3 rounds.
First round: Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th May
Jehmlich organ in the Concert Hall

Second round: Wednesday 21st May
Eule organ in the Cathedral of St. Sebastian

Third round: Friday 23rd May
Schuke organ in Cathedral of St. Maurice and St. Catherine

All events will be open to the public.
The prize winners will perform at a public concert on Saturday 24 May in the concert hall; the winner of the competition will play the Concerto no. 2 in g minor by Joseph Rheinberger with orchestra. The winner of the August Gottfried Ritter Prize will play a sonata by Ritter; other prize-winners present any piece of their choice, which may be chosen from the competition repertoire.
The jury will be available for consultations after each round.
Participants must arrive in Magdeburg on 17 May and register in the Competition Office in “Roncallihaus”, Max-Josef-Metzger-Straße 12 / 13 no later than 2pm. After registration candidates will draw lots for playing order and be allocated preparation time on the competition organs as well as practice facilities on other organs in the town.
